Health: Lost the use of his back legs towards the end of his life, thought due to a neurological problem.

Notes: Syd was everything I could want in a rat, he was a licky, friendly boy who loved cuddles and scritches. He had a gorgeous soft coat for a boy. Syd was my definition of a perfect rat - just the right balance of cheekiness to cuddliness! He was the rat I would always find when I was feeling down and needed someone to hug; I'll miss him more than words can say :(.

Name: Syd was originally going to be Sid, after the character in 'Ice Age'. But I preferred the name with a y, so it was changed to Syd!
